Research
The Food Inspection Laboratory (Laboratório de Inspeção de Produtos de Origem Animal – InsPOA) is locatred in Viçosa, MG state, Brazil, in the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Campus Viçosa, Department of Veterinary Medicine. We develop academic activities related to teaching, extension and research on food inspection and food microbiology, with special focus to animal origin foods (meat, dairy, fish). Our main goal is to provide robust scientific data to food industries and inspection agencies, enhancing the food quality and safety.
